Personal logbook · Linux / VMware / AIX / HP-UX

Notes from the systems I keep running.

UnixPulse is where I write down the things I actually hit at work. The fix that worked, the warning I skipped the first time, the command I keep forgetting. Saved here so I can find it again, and so it might save you the same hour.

What I work with daily

/ 01

Linux

Mostly Oracle Linux 8.x in production. Patching, systemd, faillock, CVE verification, the day to day grind.

Daily driver
/ 02

VMware

The platform I spend most of my time on. Upgrades, host and cluster troubleshooting, monitoring, and the operational gotchas that never make it into the official KBs. This is the deepest area here.

Core platform
/ 03

AIX

IBM AIX notes from production. Filesystems, clusters, DR activities, daily operational tasks, migration and troubleshooting.

Legacy but alive
/ 04

HP-UX

Older kit that still runs things that matter. Notes land here as I touch it.

Static sites on Cloudflare Pages, plain HTML and CSS from GitHub. How this site itself gets published.

HPE

Mostly HPE products in VMware environments, covering firmware upgrades, storage networking, performance troubleshooting, and the day-to-day operational work that keeps production running.
